What are these social emotional journals?
These are picture prompt based social emotional journals. These are great because they teach social emotional learning skills throughout the school year. Every journal page has 5 prompts. You can also use these pages in a bell ringer format. Students can complete one section a day over the course of one week.
Why use these social emotional journals?

Theseskillswill also help students maintain relationships with peers, personal growth, develop empathy for others and making good choices. These journals easily allow for you to incorporate social emotional learning into the classroom on a daily basis with zero prep or planning. Each journal page can be a catalyst to deeper discussions.
How to use these journals?
These social emotional journals will make social emotional instruction easy in your classroom. No prep work is required with these journals! You can pick and choose from the 60 journal prompts included. Journals can be used in any order to meet the needs of your class. There are 5 prompts on each journal that can be completed all at once or in daily tasks in a bell ringer format.
You can use these journals in a small group setting, 1:1 setting, whole group setting or send home for homework.
A full page projectable version is included to enhance a whole group activity. As students complete their journals themselves or to eliminate the worksheets all together and use just as a discussion prompt. You can also print these projectable prompts, laminate and re-use year after year in a small group or speech group setting.
There are two versions of the worksheets depending on the needs of your students. The first is a one page, single sided format for your students who have smaller penmanship and do not need as much space to write.
In addition to single sided worksheets, the second version is a two page/double sided format. This is for those kiddos that need more space to write their answers with less prompts on a page.
Once you print these journals, you can choose to use them in a worksheet format or bind into a yearly workbook. Simply print, bind and be done with the prep for the year!
