Practicing 1:1 Correspondance!
Here is a quick activity I created for one of my students who is struggling with 1:1 correspondence. She is a very hands-on student who likes to quickly grab everything and anything in sight. I decided to try taping down manipulatives to the table so she was unable to move my set of objects. Once I taped down the pom poms, I prompted her to “make yours like mine” and then hand her a pile of pom poms.
By simply taping my set down, it minimized the distraction and she is now able to complete the task on her own. It’s amazing how a little bit of tape can help a kiddo SO much!
I hope you enjoyed my simple trick 🙂
