Behavior Basics Book Club (SEL Books For the Classroom)
What is the Behavior basics book club?
The Behavior Basics Book club can be implemented in any classroom. It is a list of 60 childhood favorite picture books that focus on social emotional learning skills and help to teach the basics of behavior. The Behavior Basics Book Club can be set up in your classroom and utilized as a valuable resource to teach students various behaviors and how to be successful students. Proudly display your Behavior Basics Book Club books in your classroom library so that you can quickly grab it when a refresher lesson is needed on any given day.

Book storage
Display your book club in this adorable book shelf! T his is the book shelf that I found was able to hold all 60 books in the front display. I also store behavior manipulatives, social stories, timers and visuals in the three cubby spots in the top. The book shelf is on wheels and can easily be pulled out to access the storage shelves in the back. This is where I store Behavior Basics materials not currently in use.
How can i extend these lessons?
My behavior basics curriculum sold separately provides weekly detailed lesson plans for a more detailed and direct instruction on each behavior. The lessons include 3 levels of social stories, visual supports, discussion questions, coloring pages, interactive notebook activities, focus bulletin board pieces, parent newsletters and assessment questions.
The behavior basics curriculum is not needed to use these book club activities. They can be used completely on their own.
